Frank Dutcher, age 82, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon October 10, 2006 as a result of cancer. He was born in Sebewing, Michigan on March 28, 1924 to Perry and Elizabeth (Avery) Dutcher. A lifetime server of the Lord, Frank and his wife spent earlier years in mission work in Kentucky. Moving to Ohio in 1957, he was a Pastor at Maple Grove Mennonite Church for 24 years. Since 1998, Frank had made blankets for Mennonite Central Committee. Preceded in death by son David Dutcher and sisters LaWanda Gnagey and Jewel Swartzendruber. He is survived by his wife with whom he would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on December 24, Gertrude (Maust); children, Jonathan and Violet Dutcher of VA, Ruth and Ajay Massey of Columbus, Dan and Barb Dutcher of Hartville, Naomi and Dan Leaman of FL, Titus and Deborah Dutcher of Sugarcreek; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Zola and Art Roeber, Ronald and Rhea Dutcher and George Swartzendruber all of MI. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in Maple Grove Mennonite Church and Saturday prior to the service from 9-9:45 AM. Funeral services will be Saturday 10 AM in Maple Grove Mennonite Church with Pastors Myron Weaver and Luke Yoder officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
