Francis Andrew Spanik, age 85, of North Canton, formerly of New Kensington, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Manor Care Nursing Home. Born in Harrison, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary (Erzika) Spanik. Francis retired from PPG after 30+ years of service. He enjoyed fishing, growing vegetables and taking walks. In addition to his parents Francis was preceded in death in by his wife, Joan A. McMann and son, Billy Spanik. He is survived by Daughter: Charolette (James) Finley, III, of North Canton, Ohio; Cathy and Terry Spanik both of Pennsylvania, sons: Frank Andrew Spanik, Jr. and Ronnie Spanik both of Pennsylvania and Louis Spanik of California. Granddaughters: Jessica A. Finley and Rasheena Spanik, grandsons: James F. Finley, IV and Chris Spanik. Sister, Kathy Priestes and his ex-wife Bertha also survives. A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. Please sign the guest book.
