Frances B. Rosenblum, age 98, of Canton, passed away Wednesday evening September 28, 2011. She was born February 2, 1913 in New York City to Joseph B. and Gussie (Wisotsky) Malks. . Frances attended Columbia University and City College of New York. She owned and operated The Gift Nook in New York before moving to Canton in 1976. She was a member of Temple Israel and Hadassah. Frances loved knitting and crocheting and taught "Crocheting with Frances" at the Canton Jewish Community Center. She also made and donated hats for hundreds of children in the Canton area. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Gerald Ortman of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Ronni Rosenblum of Chicago; grandchildren, Bradley (Dr. Melissa Myers) Ortman, Dr. Jason (Lisa Opper) Ortman, Jon (Jean) Ortman, Dr. Jason (Michele) Rosenblum, Jared (Eve) Rosenblum, Jessica (Steven) Federman; 9 great grandchildren, a nephew and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Abraham; sister, Jessie Malks and brother Milton Malks. Funeral Services will be Friday (TODAY) 2:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home with Rabbi Jon Adland and Rabbi John Spitzer officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. The family expressed grateful appreciation for the care and concern at Windsor Assisted Living Center as well as the staff in the Coronary Care Unit at Aultman Hospital and Doctor Radha Podugu and Doctor Ramana Podugu.
