Fornie D. Tolley, age 90, of Canton died early Saturday morning in his residence after a brief illness. Born in Minneapolis, NC on May 17, 1917 to the late Willard and Myra Tolley he had resided here since 1945. Mr. Tolley retired form the U.S Army having served during WW II and the Korean War attaining the rank of CW4. He was also the former owner and operator of Tolley's Sohio Service. He was a member of Canton Lodge # 60 F & AM, AASR Valley of Canton, York Rite Bodies, Royal Order of Jesters Court # 80, Tadmor Shrine, and was a member and Past Monarch of Nazir Grotto. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Annetta (Lee) Tolley of the residence. Three daughters: Mrs. Donald (Brenda) Jackson of Jackson Township, Carol Kangas of Sarasota, FL, and Lois Tolley of N. Canton. Son: David Tolley of Alliance. Seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. A Masonic Service will be 4:45 P.M. Monday followed by a Royal Order of Jester Service.
