Florine "Flo" Johnson, age 93 of Hartville, passed away on Tuesday January 28, 2014. She was born in Marlboro Township on June 25, 1920 and graduated from Marlington High School. During WW II, she started working for Acme and retired after 42 years of service. She enjoyed playing cards, piano and organ, and she loved her cats. She was preceded in death by her husband John Banning Johnson on May 25, 2011; her mother Iva (Troyer) Machamer and step-father Nelson Machamer. She is survived by her son John B. Johnson II of Duluth, GA; grandson Joshua B. Johnson of Birmingham, AL; great-grandson Alexander B. Johnson of Birmingham, AL; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Johnson of St. Louis, MO, Thomas (Delores) Ball of Plain Township; sisters-in-law, Jean Johnson and Bonnie Ball of Canton. Calling hours are Saturday 1-2 PM and services begin at 2 PM Sat. with Pastor Neil Davis officiating, all at Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
