Florence Luke, age 90, former resident of North Canton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 while residing at Zephyr Health and Rehab Center in Zephyrhills, Florida. She was born October 13, 1924 in Canton and grew up in Canton. Florence graduated from Timken High School. Her scholastic achievement was quickly recognized and Florence started her career as secretary to the vice president of Timken Roller Bearing Company. She retired in 1986 from her work as Customer Service Representative at the Hoover Company. She was a parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church of North Canton for 58 years. Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Richard Luke. They were affectionately known in the community as "Dick and Flo". Surviving is her loving family: sister; Ann Kessler of Toledo, Ohio. Children; Dave Luke, Brian Luke, daughter-in-law; Becky, Karen Luke Roth, son-in-law John. Grandchildren; Megan (Bryan) Luke Edwards, David Luke, Shane (Marilyn) Luke, Benjamin Luke, Emily Luke, Kathy (Tim) Roth Luke, Krista (Eric) Roth Hansen and Karie Roth. Great grandchildren; Noah Luke, Emma Luke and Grace Hansen. Nieces and nephews: Paula (Dan) Welshimer Locklair, Mark ( Roseanne) Welshimer, Paul (Jane) Kessler, Sue (Thom) Kessler Gross, Mark (Becky) Kessler, Nancy (Dan) Kessler Sturtz. Great nieces and nephews: Courtney and Whitney Welshimer, Bryan, Michael and Christopher Kessler, Andrea, Erin, Eric and Lane Gross; Jake and Julieann Kessler, Andrew, Lily and Emily Sturtz. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Catholic Church with Fr. Jeffery Stealey as officiant. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum.
