Obituary

Florence Emerman, age 90, of Canton, passed away on Saturday morning January 14, 2012, in the comfort of her home. She was born on April 19, 1921, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Jacob and Jenny (Nigen) Bushinsky. Florence had been a junior high school teacher in Linden, New Jersey for many years. She met and married Herman Emerman and they made their home in Canton. She was a member of Temple Israel and Hadassah. Florence was preceded in death by husband Herman D. in 1982, sisters Mildred Golub and Pauline Goll, and brother Morris Bushinsky. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Alice Bushinsky of Florida and many nieces and nephews. The Emerman family members were residents of Canton for several generations. They contributed to the growth of Canton. Florence loved Canton, Ohio, and loved to travel to historical places. Florence was an avid tennis and golf player and won many trophies. Even up until last week, she enjoyed watching tennis and golf on television. She loved to do crossword puzzles and was an excellent bridge player. Funeral services will be Friday 1:00 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home with Rabbi Jon Adland and Rabbi John Spitzer officiating. Final resting place is West Lawn Cemetery.
