Ezzio Pocci March 26,1925 - April 26,2017 Our beloved father, Ezzio, was surrounded by his children, Monica and Victor, as he entered into God's Kingdom. Ezzio was born in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania to the late Tebaldo and Sylvia (Piastrelli) Pocci. He lived in Canton with his daughter, Monica, was a graduate of McKinley High School and the Canton Business College. A World War II Veteran who served in the Merchant Marines during the war and re-enlisted into the Army after the war. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchild, nieces and nephew and many friends. Ezzio was an honorable man who cared deeply about military veterans, civil rights, children, animals and world peace. In his earlier life he was a musician who played trumpet and admired Louis Armstrong. A sports fan, Ezzio loved watching the World Cup and European soccer. He was a Cleveland Cavaliers and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Reverend Ross Riggs will perform a Christian service on Wednesday, May 3, at 12:30 pm at the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Avenue NW. A military ceremony will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 2 from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
