Everett "Ed" (Papaw) Miller, age 81, of the City of Green died Thursday evening the Hospice Care Center in Copley, OH after an extended illness. Born in Akron to the late Garfield & Evelyn (Linebaugh) Miller he had resided here most of his life. Ed was an Army Veteran having served in Korea and was a member of the 107th DIV of the National Guard. Retired from B.F.Goodrich he also owned a trucking company and was co-owner of the Canton Motor Speedway. He was a member of Greensburg Methodist Church and was a life member of the VFW Post 3532. Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Jacqueline "Jackie" (Hartzell) Miller of the residence. Two daughters: Candace Giacomo of N. Canton, and Mrs. William (Becky) Richards of Norton, OH. Two sons: Bryan (Kathleen) of Green and Garry (Kathy) Miller of Uniontown, OH. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday 1:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., NW with Rev. Mitch Hennesy & Rev. Mike Nammy officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 11 to 1. The family will also be receiving friends Monday afternoon from 4 to 7 at Chenoweth Golf Course 3087 Chenoweth Rd. Akron, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
