Everett W. Hayes, 72, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 23, 2014 in Louisville, Ohio. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 22, 1942 to Everett and Mary Elizabeth. He graduated from Karns High School in 1959. He married Carolyn on April 8, 1987. Everett spent many years behind the steering wheel of a semi-truck, but worked for over 20 years at Refiners Transport in Oregon, Ohio where he received many accolades for his accident-free driving record. After retirement, Everett continued to broaden his education by becoming a licensed fire inspector, a certified electrician, bonded locksmith and continued his travels by driving tour busses for Pioneer Trails a few days a week for the Amish community. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. Everett is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn. He is also survived by two children; Brenda Danner (Kraig Snow) of Toledo, Ohio, Charles W. Danner II (Lisa) and his grandchildren - Charles, Taylor, and Jewelia of Wahiawa, Hawaii. A viewing will be held at Bethany Mennonite Church, 3497 Edison Street (Route 619), Hartville, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26. The funeral will take place at the church at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 27, with Dave Slabaugh officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
