Evelyn Sweaney, age 105, of Canton, passed on Thursday morning October 27, 2016. She was born in Buffalo, New York on September 24, 1911 to the late Frank and Anna (Kirshner) Ackerman.

Preceded in death by her husband Milton in 1995; son Ray in 1996; and grandson Ronald.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Ed Janecek of Canton; son and daughter-in-law David and Pat Sweaney of Sun City, AZ; 16 grandchildren and many many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

A Mass will be held Monday 12:30 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (Chapel) with Father Donald King celebrant. Calling hours are before the service (12 noon to 12:30). Final resting place is Sunset Hills Burial Park.
