Evelyn M. Rippel, age 81, of Canton died Wednesday morning in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in North Canton, Evelyn was retired from Fisher Foods. A member of the Canton Lady Elk's, Lady's Moose, Lady's Eagles and Delta Chapter Order of Eastern Star, she was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth D. Rippel in 1999, also by a sister: Ruth Reichard and a brother Richard Conway. Survivors include 3 step children: Mrs. Charles (Kendra) McNatt of Sherrodsville, OH, Tracey Rippel of Canton and Terry (Vicki) Weida of Alliance. Granddaughter: Jessica Rippel. Also survived by her friend and companion: Robert Wike of Canton. Funeral service will be Friday 2:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Rev. Charles McNatt officiating. A private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
