Evelyn I. Passwaters, age 76, of East Canton died Sunday afternoon in Green Meadows Health & Wellness Center. Born in Canton to the late Harry and Mildred (Clark) Hackathorn she had been a life resident until recently moving to East Canton with her daughter. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by two brothers Ronald and Edward Hackathorn, and her husband of 60 years Harold Passwaters. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Andrew and Kathleen Passwaters of Massillon. Daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Dean Winter of East Canton. Ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one on the way. Two sisters: Robert (Kathy) Miller of Canton and Mrs. Frank (Emmajean) Palone of Mississippi. Brother: William (Pauline) Hackathorn of Louisville, OH. Funeral service will be Thursday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Pastor Denise L. Whitesel officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
