Evelyn Hillen, age 79, of North Canton, passed away Wednesday July 18, 2012 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 26, 1932 in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania to the late Maple F. and Lulu Emma (Cassady) Wade and graduated from Mount Morris High School. Once her children were raised, Evelyn enjoyed working in Hartville with kindergarten aged children teaching them crafts. In early retirement, she and her husband Chuck wintered in Old Town, Florida. Her family will always say she was the best cook and baker. She enjoyed her flower gardening and decorated for all holidays. She loved her cats Snow Ball, Air Ride and Tishie. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles "Chuck"; son and daughter-in-law Charles Thomas and Holly Hillen of Canton, son Terry Lee Hillen of North Canton; "grandchildren" Christine Stanton, Keith Stanton; "great-grandson" Devin; sister-in-law Leanna Wade of Connecticut; brother-in-law Tim Simon (Maggie) Hillen of Pennsylvania; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son James Kevin Hillen on May 16, 2005 and her brother James Wade. A graveside service was held Saturday 2:00 PM, July 21, 2012, in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. Arnold Funeral Home
