Evelyn Gelormino

Evelyn “Evie” Gelormino, passed away on March 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family which also created a bittersweet “heaven-versary” as March 16th was her late husband’s birthday.

She was born on December 11, 1955, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to the late Shelton and Madeline (Patton) DuVall. Evie was a 1973 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, PA. She worked for many different companies alongside her husband, testing cellphone towers.

She was a member of Compassion Church where her unwavering devotion was always evident because if the church doors were open, Evie was there.

Evie cherished family time which almost always included travelling to see her family in Pennsylvania, cheering on her beloved Steelers, and embracing her Indian heritage by attending many Powwows.

The biggest joy in her life was being “Gammy”, a title which she lived for. Always showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with much love and care and even participating in many tik-tok dances which she absolutely loved.

Evie will be deeply missed by her sons, Anthony (Monica) Gelormino and Jonathan Parisan; grandchildren Dominic Parisan, Ryan (Morgyn Kreitzer) Parisan, Christian Parisan, Orelea Gelormino and Everesa Gelormino; great-grandchildren Trinity, Hazel and Ryan, Jr.; siblings Shelton (Tracy) DuVall and Annette DuVall; sister-in-law Michelle Gelormino-Cunzolo; as well as extended family, including loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband John, Evie was preceded in death by her only daughter Nicholle Gelormino.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28th from 12-1 p.m. at 1920 Schneider St NE, Canton, OH 44721.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the church with cremation to follow.
