Obituary

Evan Scott Miller, 23, of Green, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 17, 2025. He was born on December 5, 2001 in Akron, Ohio to his loving parents, Bryan and Kathleen (Bader) Miller.

Evan was a 2020 graduate of Green High School where he was a proud member of the golf team. Evan is the first and only Miller, to date, to have a hole in one. He achieved this at Glenmoor Country Club with his dad, brother, and Richie, his first golf instructor.

Growing up, Evan was very athletic, never afraid to try a new sport. One of those sports was archery which he learned more about during his time with the Indian Guides. He loved spending that time with his dad and brother and he was given the name "Shooting Arrow."

During all his sporting activities, Evan was always a good teammate. He loved being a part of a team and contributing to the success of those teams. One of those sports was Little League Baseball. He started playing when he was 5 years old. Evan never hesitated to play any position on the baseball diamond for his dad who coached him his entire career. Baseball is where he met a good number of his friends, one being Justin where they ended up being close and playing on many teams, in many different sports.

Evan really enjoyed snow skiing with his friends starting 6th grade. He and some of his close buddies, especially Ethan and Alex, enjoyed going ski weekends to New York and Pennsylvania.

There were many family adventures throughout his childhood that created lasting memories for not only Evan, but his parents and brother as well.

Evan was also a part of another family, the Chenoweth Golf Course family. He and his brother would go and help their dad work on the golf course in their younger years. Chenoweth is where his dad instilled a great work ethic that stayed with him. During his middle and high school years he worked on the grounds crew for his dad. His love for cheeseburgers and milkshakes is what brought him to working at Swenson's during his college years at Akron University. Most recently his love for the game of golf and talking to people led him to be a caddie at Firestone Country Club.

Evan took pride in his wardrobe loving a wide range of colors that expressed his personality on any given day. This was especially shown on days that he would be going to play golf. He enjoyed traveling to Columbus to watch The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Evan will be deeply missed by his parents, Bryan and Kathleen Miller; his older brother, Bryce; both grandmothers, Jacqueline A. Miller and Mary Joan Bader; aunts, Candace Giacomo and Kristen Raineri; and numerous cousins.

Evan was preceded in death by his two grandfathers Everett E. Miller and Jack S. Bader.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28th from 5-7 p.m. at the Arnold-Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Ave., Canton.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 1st at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery.

Following the burial there will be a gathering at Chenoweth Golf and Banquet facility from 1:00-4:00 p.m. to CELEBRATE EVAN.
