Evalenn M. Nutter (Haulman) age 84. Born in Akron, September 4, 1923, a resident of Canton since 1953. A graduate of Akron West High School in 1941. Received a B.A. Degree from Heidelberg College in 1945, where she was a member of the Philethean Society. She received a B.S. (Education) Degree from Kent State University in 1961 and taught at Lake Cable Elementary. Evalenn taught Sunday School and was a past member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, member of Stark County and Ohio Retired Teachers Organizations, Lake Cable Women's Club and Garden Club, A Trustee and Secretary of the Board of Hope Homes Foundation, Charter Member of Colored Pencil Society of America, Past member of Trinity U.C.C. and the Rainbow Class Board. Preceded in death by her husband Doyle, parents: Rev. Orris W. Haulman D.D. and Minnie (Molter) Haulman of Akron, sister, Elizabeth Clapp. Survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy (Don) Montgomery of Canton, Sandy (Hector) Gonzalez of Mentor, 2 Sons and daughters-in-law, Dan (Lorene) Nutter of Defiance, Randy (Kay) Nutter of Columbus and Seven grandchildren, Brooke and Toby Nutter, Mike (Dana) Nutter, Matt (Quinn) Montgomery, Jason Montgomery and Angie and Tony Gonzalez, 2 great-grandchildren Jakob and Curtis. There are no words to express the utmost gratitude the family has for the Canton Christian Home who lovingly cared for both "Evie" and Doyle. The family invites friends to share with them in a celebration of Ev's life on Monday 11:00 A.M. in Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. David L. de Vries officiating.
