Obituary

Eva Hauser, 91, of Nashua died Sunday evening, September 5, 2010 at Heather Ridge Assisted Living Community in North Canton, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church in Charles City with Pastor Tim Robbins officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua. Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2010 6-8 PM at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday, September 11, 2010 (10-11 AM). Memorials may be made directly to Calvary Baptist Church, 703 Milwaukee St., Charles City, Iowa 50616. Eva Hauser was born August 9, 1919 near Nashua, Iowa the daughter of Ross and Clara Caster. She graduated from Nashua High School. She was united in marriage to Fred Hauser on June 25, 1939 at the Little Brown Church. To this union 3 daughters were born. Eva was an integral part of the family business, Hauser Manufacturing Company, and she later worked for many years at Pamida in Charles City, Iowa. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School teacher for many years. Eva enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and was famous for her delicious pies. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Jane Linton of Hartville, OH, Virginia (Rev. Walter) Glucklich of Cokato, MN and Lydia Jean (David) Drayer of Dana Point, CA; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Christina) Linton, Deborah (Bob) Kanel, Nate (Jen) Glucklich, Sam (Miriam) Glucklich, Tina Glucklich, Sarah (Matthew) Kline, and Jessica (Kyle) deBruyn; and 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Caster of Colorodo; one sister, Vera Bunston of Charles City; as well as other relatives and friends. Eva was preceded in death by her husband Fred Hauser, her parents, two brothers Dale and Glen Caster, one sister Mabel Kreklau, and one great grandson Bradley.
