Eugene W. Lewis, age 76, of Canton died Wednesday morning in his residence after a brief illness. Born in Butler, PA Gene had resided here since 1953. An Army Veteran having served in Korea, he was a former employee of Stark Truss. Gene is survived by his wife: Mary of the residence. Daughter: Mrs. Steve (Sherry) Edwards of Limaville, OH. 2 step daughters: Mrs. Shawn (Penny) Dahlheimer of Salem, WV and Jody Wise of Canton. 3 step sons: Robert, Kenneth, and Mark (Dawn) Kurzinsky all of Canton. 21 grandchildren. 6 great grandchildren and one to arrive. 3 sisters: Mary Quinn, Zella McAnallen, and Mrs. Richard (Girt) Christy all of Pennsylvania. Also survived by his life long best friend: William "Sonny" Schultz, his little buddy Joe and his special companion: Ace. Friends may call on Friday from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. A private graveside service will be in West Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to defray expenses.
