Ethel I. Evans, age 91, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 24, 2011. She was born in Hartville on May 29, 1919 to the late Henry J. and Mary (Brumbaugh) Myers and graduated in 1937 from Marlboro High School. She married John L. Evans on February 2, 1946. Ethel retired in 1976 from Monarch Rubber Co. after 21 years of service where she trimmed motor mounts for cars. She was a member of the Hartville Church of the Brethren. Her hobby was crocheting afghans and giving them to friends and family. Preceded in death by her husband John in July 19, 1980; sisters Ruth (Robert) Moles, Grace (Bill) Evans; brother-in-law Everett Norton and sister-in-law Mary Myers. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Gerald "Jerry" and Debbie Evans of Mogadore, Ed Evans of Alabama; grandsons Jason Evans and Jonathan Evans of Akron; sister Florence Norton of Hartville; brother Don Myers of Alliance; and other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and one hour prior to services Monday (10-11 AM) in the church. Funeral services are Monday 11:00 AM in the Hartville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tom Michaels officiating. Final resting place is East Nimishillen Church Cemetery.
