Esther I. Schrock, age 96, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the comfort of her home. She was born on November 27, 1920 in Dundee, Ohio to the late Oscar and Stella (Swinehart) Landis and moved to Hartville in 1945. She married Art Schrock and became an immediate mother to his 3 children. Together, they welcomed a son to their family and farmed for years in Hartville. Additionally, she worked at F. E. Schumacher Co. and babysat for family and friends. She loved to cook for her family and gave to others unselfishly with her heart of gold. When she was in good health she attended the Hartville Church of God.

Preceded in death by her husband Arthur; daughter Erma Mullett; 5 siblings Ruby, Leonard, Roscoe, Maxine and Betty.

She is survived by her children Calvin Schrock and Betty Jean Stoll both of Nevada, Ron and Marlene Schrock of Hartville; son-in-law Sonny Mullett of East Liverpool; many grandchildren including David (Corinne), Nicole (Brian), James , Nick (April), Justin, Jessica, and Jeremy; and many great-grandchildren including Erica, Zack, Magan, Aaron, Austin, Gavin, Justin Jr. and Brandon; great-great granddaughter Miranda; 3 siblings Corinne Ferrell, Delmer (Connie) and Willard Landis; and sister-in-law Doris Landis.

Calling hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and one hour prior to services 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Wednesday 11 AM at the funeral home.
