Esther L. McVeigh Leibtag Potts, aged 90, passed away March 21, 2010 in Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by her beloved daughter Carolyn, niece Linda, and staff of the Mt. Healthy Christian Home and Hospice of Cincinnati. Esther was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Leibtag and Wilbur Potts of Canton, Ohio. Esther was born December 16, 1919 in Mullins, South Carolina, the eldest daughter of the late Homer Jackson McVeigh, Sr. and Leila Stephens. Preceded in death by her beloved sister Helen McVeigh Goodale of Jacksonville, Florida and beloved brother Homer Jackson McVeigh, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina. Esther is survived by her daughter Carolyn Leibtag of Cincinnati, Ohio; step son Thomas Potts and grandchildren Michael, Lisa, and Tommy of Canton, Ohio; step daughter Debbie Yohe and husband Bob of Massillon, Ohio; loving granddaughter Jennifer Haas, husband Rich, and great grandchildren Brandon and Emily of East Canton, Ohio; grandson Timothy Yohe, wife Becky, and great grandson T.J. of St. Louis, Missouri; niece Linda Wooton and husband Roger of Columbus, Ohio; great niece Maureen Wooton Howard and family of Columbus, Ohio; great nephew Matthew Wooton and family of Dayton, Ohio; niece Mary Goodale Strickland and husband Clark of Jacksonville, Florida; nephew Thomas Goodale of Jacksonville, Florida; great nephew William Strickland and family of Jacksonville, Florida; and great niece Debbie Strickland Mallory and family of Gainesville, Florida. A private graveside service will be held in North Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Craig Ott officiating. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Mt.
