Esther Cooper, age 93 of Canton, passed away Monday afternoon, August 4, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 2, 1920 in Canton to George and Nettie Wieder. Esther worked with her husband at Cooper's Poultry Market which they owned. She was a graduate of McKinley High School and member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue. Preceded in death by her husband, Hymie Cooper on January 19, 2014, she is survived by daughters, Nancy (Dr. Barry) Appelbaum of San Diego, California, Barbara (Michael) Salle of Canton, Jo Sanders and Richard Wetzel of Green; grandchildren, Vicki (Jeff) Nelson, Kevin (Stacy) Appelbaum, Tiffany Salle, Ellie Sanders and five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at Canton Hebrew Cemetery with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating.
