Esther Baker, 89 of Canton, passed away June 6th, 2012. Born February 1st, 1923 in Canton to the late Cecil and Alpha Goodrich, she was a life resident of Canton, graduating from McKinley High School and Kent State University. Esther touched the lives of many students as a teacher for 35 years in the Canton City Schools. She is survived by her soul mate of 68 years, Russell Baker and her daughter Gerry (Earl) Cindea. She also will be missed dearly by her granddaughters, Holly (Scott) Bantum, Kym (Eric) Steager and Tami (Chris) Bongiorni. Esther had eight grandchildren: Parker, Corinne, Kelsey Rebecca, Kelsey Lynn, Keegan, Mackenzie, Ava and Andrew. A private service was conducted. Arnold 330-456-7291
