Obituary

Enos C. Kurtz, age 85, of Hartville, met Jesus on Wednesday morning May 3, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 10, 1931 in Middlefield, Ohio to the late Henry and Clara (Byler) Kurtz. He was hardworking and best known for founding Kurtz Rubbish Co. A favorite place to be when not at home was behind the wheel. He was a member of Evermore Community Church. He was known for his generosity and giving spirit.

Survived by his wife of 64 years Nettie (Shetler) they married on December 24, 1952; children Elaine (Richard) Doll, Kenny Kurtz, Malinda (Dana) Evans, Larry (Vicki) Kurtz, Lisa (Dean) Rowland, Adrian Allenbaugh, Jolene (Joe) Popik, Cindy (Mike) Hall; grandchildren Abraham Kurtz, Alice (Clay) Mize, Benji Doll, Lori (Joe) Friesen, Josiah (Shannon) Doll, Stephanie and Nicholas Doll, Trevor Rhoad, Tessia (Keith Hall) and Enos Kurtz, Jessie and Nathan Evans, Shannon (Rick) Miller, Caleb (Megan) Kurtz, Hannah (Mike) Harvey, Jonah Rowland, Layla Popik, Ariana, Javen, Ella, Mason and Ember Hall; great-grandchildren Katelyn Mize, Max and Liam Doll, Ruth Friesen, Avery Rhoad, Bryce and Landon Hall, Gideon and Judah Miller, Levi and Emma Kurtz; and numerous relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by son Donnie; foster son Bobby; granddaughter Teena Kurtz; and 12 siblings.

Calling hours are Friday 5-8 PM at Evermore Community Church and one hour prior to services 10-11 AM Saturday. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday 11 AM in the church. Final resting place is the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Evermore Community Church for LOVE IS A VERB Ministry.
