Emma J. Monroe, age 89, of Hartville passed away on Thursday February 17, 2011 at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Mt. Holly, North Carolina on June 12, 1921 to the late General Grant and Anna (Scott) Lipscomb. She married Lloyd Monroe Sr. in West Virginia and they moved to Ohio in 1953. She attended Alliance Baptist Temple. Emma loved her family, quilting and gardening. Preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Sr. in 2007; sisters Rosazella Monroe, Catherine Lipscomb. She is survived by her children Bob (Bobbie Jean) Lipscomb of Arkansas, Lloyd Jr. (Virginia) Monroe, Donald (Rhonda) Monroe and Linda (Derill) Ferguson all of Hartville; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Sally Starcher of Hartville, Alice Watts of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Payne officiating.
