Emilie A. Douglass, age 81, of Canton, passed away Saturday in Aultman Hospital. Born in Germany to the late Richard J. and Katarina C. (Korber) Sobotta. Emilie had worked as a merchandise buyer for the Stern & Mann's and was a member of Crystal Park United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Irvin I. Douglass in 1996. Survivors include a brother; Alfred Sobotta of Germany, in-laws; Virginia (Charles) Kopf, Kathryn Ludwig, Lena Locke and Nancy (Ralph) Keck, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday 1:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Rev. Jeri Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
