Elzie "Elsie" Marchand of North Canton, Ohio, went to walk with Jesus on March 24, 2009. She was born to Frank and Lucy (Arnold) Pontius on December 15, 1931, in Randolph Township, Ohio. She is survived by her children Gary (Michelle) Marchand of Charlotte, Michigan, and Karen Marchand of North Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by two granddaughters: Annastacia and Ellyse Marchand of Charlotte, Michigan; three sisters: Louise Knowles, Gladys (Bob) Shaw, and Hazel (Tut) Kuhn; one brother, Bob Pontius; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at CrossPointe Church of North Canton, Ohio.
