Elsie Shahan, age 91, formerly of Canton and Alliance, passed away on Tuesday January 31, 2023. She was born in Kasson, West Virginia on May 31, 1931 to the late Grandville and Belva (Poling) Shaw. Elsie retired from Molly Stark Hospital. She enjoyed Bingo and loved her flowers in her yard.

Preceded in death by her husband Porter; grandson Michael; 1 sister and 3 brothers. She is survived by three sons Gary (Elaine), Robert (Elisabeth) and Donald (Betty); 5 grandchildren Nena, Kira, Samuel, Eric and Alex; 3 step-grandchildren Teresa, Donny and Jason; 4 great-grandchildren Kyle, Natalee, Austin and Kylie; sister Ann Vanscoy; and brother Robert Shaw.

Calling hours are Monday February 6, 2023 from 10-11 AM at Arnold Shriver Funeral Home at 4817 Cleveland Ave. Funeral services begin Monday 11 AM in the funeral home with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.
