Elsie E. Davis, 89, cherished mother, grandmother & great grandmother, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2014. She was born to Frank & Frances Rotter on July 17, 1924. Elsie was a very loving, caring woman who was a friend to all she met. Family was the most important part of her life & she treasured her many friendships. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She watched every game and never gave up on her TRIBE! She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed serving on the McKinley Class of '42 Reunion Committee, Canton Civic Opera Women's Committee, and an officer of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1998 after 54 years of marriage. She is survived by daughters Susan Mercer, Cheryl (Roger) McClure, Carolyn (John) Perlog and grandchildren Wendy (Gene) Cardi, Debi (Matt) Hawrysko, Roger Beiter II (Stephanie), Laurel (Brad) Taylor, Lindsay (Keith) Bowden, Kevin McConnell (Tanya), and Brian McConnell. There are also 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in church on Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Elsie's name to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2551 - 55th St. NE, Canton 44721.
