Elmer G. O'Neill, Jr. age 69, of Plain Township, died Thursday in his residence. Born in Canton to the late: Elmer & Mary (Monter) O'Neill, he was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the NRA,the Train Collectors Assoc. and the Fraternal Order of Police. Elmer was a retired Police Officer from the Canton City Police Department. Survivors include two sons: Robert O'Neill of Uniontown, OH and Dr. Brian (Anne) O'Neill of Jackson Township. Four grandchildren: Robyn, Alicia, Brock, and Monica. Sister: Betty O'Neill Roderick of Jackson Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Donald E. King as officiant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection Guild 3124 9th St., SW Canton, OH 44710. The Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
