Ellen Lisa Schneiderman-Welch, age 66, of Canton passed away on Thursday February 24, 2022. She was born in Coral Gables, Florida on January 24, 1956 to Marvin and Betty Jean (Wood) Schneiderman. A graduate of Firestone High School, the University of Akron, and the University of Akron School of Law, Ellen clerked for the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and spent the rest of her career specializing in legal research and writing. Although she loved her work, she was deeply committed to her faith and had an interest in becoming a Rabbi as a young girl. Ellen also loved cooking for her friends, her cats (both her own and in the neighborhood), and her friends and family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Billy and Minhui Welch; brothers Lou and Rick Schneiderman; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark Schneiderman.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11 AM at Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave N, Canton with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating. Final resting place is Rose Hill Cemetery.
