Ellen W. Lautenschlager, age 89, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the Canton Regency. She was born in Orrville, Ohio to the late Elden and Florence (Schlupe) Wyler. Ellen was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer in 2011. She is survived by stepchildren; Larry (Mary) Holshu of VA, Floyd (Sarah) Holshu of WV, Vaughn Holshu & Roberta of Canton, Elmer Lautenschlager & Judy of Canton, Sharon Tolley of Canton and Dennis Lautenschlager of SC. Sisters-in-law; Nancy Wyler of Westlake, Arlene Root and Sarah Little. Several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to thank and appreciated all the help and care from canton Regency staff, Dr. Michael Tirmonia and his staff, Asera Hospice, Rev. Keith Kull and the Northwest Church of Christ Congregation. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with the Rev. Keith Kull officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Please sign the guest book.
