Ella "Ruby" Goad, age 90, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning July 26, 2011 at St. Luke's Lutheran Community. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on January 14, 1921 to the late Orville and Effie (Page) Emmert. She met and married Herbert W. Goad and the family moved to the Hartville area in 1942. Ruby retired from Monarch Rubber Co. after 30 years of service. She attended The Chapel in North Canton. Preceded in death by her husband Herbert in 1986; son Jimmy in 2003; siblings Clyde, Cleo, Clive, Olean Pedigo, Bessie Medley, Edna Rush, Irene Stout, Robert and Ralph Emmert. She is survived by her children Shirley and Jr. Hawkins of Hartville, Harold W. and Shirley Goad of Hartville, Rev. Darrel and Bonnie Goad of New Port Richey, FL; 10 grandchildren David Hawkins, Teresa (Jeremy) Ross, Scott (Laura) Goad, Todd (Jennifer) Goad, Rhonda (Paul) Badgett, Danielle (Pat) Griffore, Nathan (Lindsey) Goad, Tiffany Goad, Christa Goad and Michaela Goad; 10 great-grandchildren Candace Riley, Brian (Valerie) Goad, Jonathon Goad, Bethany (David) Rouke, Lauren Goad, Emily Goad, Natalie Goad, Ashlea Badgett and Joshua Badgett, Corey Griffore and C.C. Griffore; great-great grandson Caeden Goad; sister-in-law Joann Emmert of KY; other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Friday 10 AM to 12 noon in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services begin at noon on Friday in the funeral home with Ruby's son Rev. Darrel Goad officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
