Elizabeth A. Woolslayer, age 77, of North Canton, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 after an extended illness. She was born on June 5, 1928. Her husband, James H. Woolslayer, predeceased her. She is survived by two daughters, Sally Godfrey and her son James Dicks of Hermitage PA, and Susan Hillyer of North Canton and her sons Brett and Aaron. Betsy was an active member of the Greentown United Methodist Church where she served on the Administrative Board and as church historian. She was a member of the Greentown Legion Auxiliary, the Eastern Star, the Canton Women's Club, the Canton Garden Club, and the Parliamentary Procedure Club of Akron. For over forty years, Betsy was a member of the Canton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was State Regent of Ohio. During that time, she established Kate's House as a museum at Camp Dennison. Her family and friends knew Betsy as an enthusiastic participant. She enjoyed traveling extensively, public speaking, and belonged to a number of Bridge clubs. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton with Rev. David L. Andrews officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
