Elizabeth (Betty) Vaughan, age 92, of St. Joseph Assisted Living and a long-time Hartville resident, went home to be with her Lord on Monday November 21, 2011. She was born January 15, 1919 in Charm, Ohio to the late Jephtha and Maryann (Miller) Troyer. Elizabeth worked as a housekeeper, practical nurse, telephone operator and took great pleasure in working at Custom Made Sport Wear, which is a leather store she and her husband, Raymond, started in 1955. She was a member of Marlboro Christian Church and its Friendship Class and the Lexington Grange. Preceded in death by her husband Raymond Vaughan who died January 3, 1991. Also preceded in death by 2 brothers, 3 sisters and a step-daughter Barbara Clunen. She is survived by step-sons Kay (Donna) Vaughan and Kenneth Vaughan Sr. all of Hartville; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Jacob Miller, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday 3-6 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Saturday 11:00 AM at Marlboro Christian Church with Pastor Ed Harnish officiating. Calling hours are Saturday in the church prior to the service 10-11 AM. Final resting place is Marlboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Marlboro Christian Church.
