Elizabeth E. Toth, age 97, of Atwater, went to be with the Lord, Thursday evening, January 31, 2008 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Elizabeth was born on April 23, 1910 in Bosnia, Hertzagovania to the late Eli and Mary (Varju) Urmos. She came to America at the age of 14 and lived in Michigan before moving to Wadsworth and worked at the Blue Tip Match Factory. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mogadore, the Sacred Heart Spiritual Society, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the church ladies group. Elizabeth was married to her husband James for 63 years before his death in 1991 and was also preceded in death by her son Steve J., five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter Betty Tenney of Albert Lea, MN; sons and daughters-in-law James and Nonnie Toth of Minden, NV, Robert and Linda Toth of Atwater; daughter-in-law Joan Toth of Atwater and a sister Helen. 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren. Special caregivers for Elizabeth in her last years were her son Robert, granddaughter Lisa and friend Rebecca. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM in St Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Edward R. Wieczorek as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville.
