Elizabeth A. Murphy, age 83, of Canton passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. She was born January 10, 1931 in Myersville, MD. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Lorena (Falkenstein) Smouse and daughter Deborah A. (Murphy) Sklare. Elizabeth was a member of both Trinity and Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed her Christian fellowship and service. She worked for the Canton Auto Club and was a beautician in her home for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Donald R. Murphy; son, Gary R. Murphy; brother, Howard Smouse; sisters, Mary (Smouse) Griffin and Gene (Smouse) King; grandchildren, Lee and Derrick Kuberacki, Tiffani Gleason and Melissa Young and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Pastor Scott Bacon officiating. A private interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Rittman, OH. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 P.M.
