Elizabeth McCoy, age 97, of Canton passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. Elizabeth was born March 14, 1919 in Freedom, Ohio to Charles and Anna (Mellinger) Kessler. She volunteered for over 20 years at Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV where she lived from 1989-2012. She was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton. Elizabeth loved being with her family, was kind hearted, aged gracefully and always looked at the world with eyes much younger than her years indicated.

She was preceded in death by her husband William A. McCoy, grandson John Harman, three sisters and two brothers. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law Marjorie and John Byerly of Bay City, MI; Shirley Atkins of Dennison, OH; Roseanna and Glen Harman of Canton; Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; Sisters Louise Kindel of Aurora, OH and Mary Jane Pochedly of Hiram, OH., and dear friend Dean Christopher.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
