Dr. Elizabeth B. Robinson (Betsy) was born August 16, 1938, in Springfield, New Jersey and died at home after a long illness at the age of 70. Betsy received a Ph.D. in Sociology at Ohio State University in 1971 and a Divinity Min. in Pastoral Counseling at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 1990. During the years she lived in Springfield, Betsy was a professor of Sociology at Missouri State University for eighteen years. She was a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor of sex offenders from 2001 to 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doctor Anne (West) and Lawrence T. Robinson, her sister Doctor Margaret (LaFlash) and her brother Donald W. Robinson. She is survived by two brothers, Frank and Ted Robinson, and six nieces, two nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30am in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Avenue NW.
