Elinor Vera Knop, age 92, of Canton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Elinor was born in Canton to the late Edward and Myrtle (Boydelatour) Okey. She was a pianist for over 40 years providing live rehearsal music and support for the various performances of the Canton Ballet. Elinor was also a member of the Middlebranch Grace Brethren Church where she shared her talent ministering as church pianist for many years. Her love for playing the piano was a God given gift that was easily identified as she played and shared it whenever she had opportunity. Her sweet smile and laughter will be missed, but always remembered.

In addition to her parents, Elinor was preceded in death by her husband Carl Knop Jr. in 2016; and sisters, Wilma Reese, Lois Sholl, and Doris Dagy. She is survived by her daughter, Martha and two sons Carl and Mark all of Canton, and siblings, Edward Okey, Marjorie Long, and Arline Hukill.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday in the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave. N. with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Friends may call 11:00am until 1:00pm.
