Elinor Elizabeth "Betty" Johnson, age 93, of Brimfield, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday June 5, 2016. She was born on January 16, 1923 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late Herbert and Helen (Elliott) Goebelbecker.

She was a member of Hartville Church of Christ where she participated in everything she could. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, sewing and being with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband Edward L. Johnson; sister Dorothy and brothers Robert and Richard Goebelbecker; and granddaughter Dannilee McGunigal. She is survived by daughters Joanne (Michael) Lebo of Hartville, Barb Pamer of Ravenna, Susan (Steven) DeLuke of Brimfield; grandchildren Mark (Lori) Slates, Beth Scheetz, Kelly (Chuck) Ikey, Brian Slates, Michael (Heidi) Lebo, Kathy (Steve) Chenevey, Bob (Courtney) Lebo, Kevin Scheetz, Jamie (Jeremy Anderson) Gilbert, Jimmy Basford, Brenda Barnhart, Danny Singer and David Singer; 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; siblings-in-law Carol Sue Sipes, Dorothy Cable, Myrtle (Warren) Darrah and Jan Johnson; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Friday 11 AM at the funeral home with Quinten Campbell officiating. Final resting place is Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. The family wishes to thank Altercare of Brimfield and Harbor Light Hospice for their loving care.
