Eleanor M. Gonzalez, age 83, of Canton died early Saturday morning in the Canton Regency. Born in Canton to the late George & Maria (Simpalia) Stoia she was a life resident. Eleanor was a beautician having worked at Polsky's and O'Neils, and was a member of St. George Romanian Catholic Cathedral. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Marino Gonzalez, two sisters: Mary Macki and Ann Stragan, three brothers: John Andrica, Tom Andrica Anderson, and Andrew Stoia. Survivors include two sisters: Kathryn Moga and Aurelia Plaver. Numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22nd in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Fr. Ovidiu Marginnean officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, Eleanor asked that a contribution be made to the donor's favorite charity.
