Eleanor Sue Forrest, age 90, of Canton died Monday evening in Aultman Hospital. Born on April 2, 1916 to the late: Maurice L. and Jessie (Emerson) Underwood she was a 1934 graduate of Washington High School. Eleanor's employment included bridal consultant for Deuble's Jewelers and Nusbaum Jewelers, Canton, and Thurin and Coen furniture stores. She was a charter member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, where she served on the altar guild. She was a 50 year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and served as its president from 1972-74. She was a former Girl Scout leader, election poll worker and census taker. Eleanor was a true lady, caring and gracious, who treasured her family, friends, church and home. I addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Charles D. Forrest, two sisters: Mrs. Helen Houriet of Akron, and Mrs. Jean Smith of Cuyahoga Falls, and one brother, Hal Underwood of Massillon, and Naples, FL. Survivors include: Daughter and son-in-law: Robert and Pamela Mueller of Grand Rapids, MI. Two granddaughters: Christine Mueller of Canton and Bethany (Richard) Rivera of Wyoming, MI. Great grandchildren: Andrew, Anthony and Alyssa Rivera of Wyoming, MI. Sister: Mrs. Jane Williamson of Clearwater, FL, Sister-in-law: Mrs. Betty Underwood also of Clearwater. One niece and three nephews. A memorial service will be Sunday, March 11th 1:00 P.M. in St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Carey E. Sloan, III officiating. A private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
