Eleanor F. Cooley, age 85, formerly of Canton recently of Murfreesboro, TN died early Sunday morning in the home of her daughter in Murfreesboro after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Verndale Sach, Canada to the late Harliegh and Esther Bartlett she moved to Canton in 1945. A former legal secretary she was a member of Ladies of the Elk's and Women of the Moose. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Cooley in 1977. Survivors include her daughter: Mrs. Thomas (Karen) Tedrick of Murfreesboro, Son: Gary A. Cooley of East Sparta, OH. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sister: Blanche Metz of Colorado. Funeral service will be Thursday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
