Eldy S. Gross Jr. passed away peacefully on 2/4/2017. He was born 2/28/1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. Eldy was proceeded in death by his parents Eldy S. Gross Sr. and Jane Gross and Nate and Ida Ross and Sister Barbara (Jack) Gross Goodman. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Bev Gross. His three sons and daughters, Scott (Grace) Gross, David (Nancy) Gross and Jimmy (Katie) Gross. He was the beloved Poppy to Sami, Rachel, Elly, Lily and Parker Gross.

He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1950 and Miami University of Ohio in 1954. He was in the furniture business with his father before starting his 50 year career selling insurance for The Northwestern Mutual Life Company. Eldy had many friends and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a kind, thoughtful and gentle man. He always smiled and truly had a way to make the best of everything. He left this world a better place because of all of his contributions to the community.

Eldy was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He also was dedicated to the community. He followed in his mother's legacy and served for decades as volunteer and past president for the Stark County Mental Association. He was totally devoted to Temple Israel where he served as president and a very active board member. He was always very active and involved with his boys serving as a baseball coach when they were young and supported all their sporting activities.

Eldy will be missed greatly by Bev and all his children and grandchildren.

Funeral will be Tuesday February 7th at 10:00 A.M. at Temple Israel, Canton with a graveside service following at Northlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Temple Israel, Nathan and Ida Ross Endowment Mazon Fund.
