Edward M. Bitzel, age 81 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday night April 11, 2007 at Rose Lane Health Center. He was born in Canton on April 28, 1925 to the late Carmen and Carmel (Bernabei) Bitzel and graduated from Timken High School. After serving in the Navy, he attended Akron University. Edward was well known as an artist. He volunteered extensively for the Veterans in Canton. Preceded in death by sister Jackie Becker, he is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Connie Bitzel of Canton; sister Barbara Ryan of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
