Earl Rechkemmer, age 92, passed away Friday January 25, 2013 at Aultman Hospital after a short illness. Born September 11, 1920 to the late Leonard and Mayme Rechkemmer, he spent his entire life in Canton. Earl graduated from McKinley High School in 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from the Ford Motor Company as a plumber/pipefitter in 1984 after 28 years. Preceded in death by his wife Betty who passed away 30 years to the date as Earl, and also a brother Roy. Earl is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tami and John Case of Louisville; and three grandsons of whom he was very proud, Brian and Jason (Stephanie) of Norfolk, Virginia and Jeremy of Louisville. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Schmotzer and Dr. Saadey and to the staff of Aultman Memorial 6 South and S.I.C.U. Earl's family is especially appreciative of Canton Regency's Assisted Living Unit's care and friendship over the past 5 years.
