Earl Lawrence Lee, age 92 of Canton, passed away Saturday morning. Born in Mogadore, Ohio to the late Martin and Cressie (Lawson) Lee. Earl was a 1941 graduate of East Canton High School. He served his country with pride in the Army during WWII where he was awarded a Purple Heart, Silver Star and Combat Infantry badge. He had been employed with Macomber Steel and was a member of First Wesleyan Methodist Church. In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by sisters: Pearl, Lucille, Helen, Sue, Opal and Velma. Brothers: Clifford, Marvin, Paul, Sherwood and Donald. Earl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Myrle Lee. Daughters: Jeanne Jordan of Canton, Nancy Dunbar of Canal Fulton and Rebecca (David) Henry of Canton. Sons: Daniel (Julie) Lee of North Canton and Kenneth Lee and Kim of Massillon. 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A brother Robert Lee also survives. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m.Thursday in First Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Troyer officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW.
