Obituary

Earl Lawrence Lee, age 92 of Canton, passed away Saturday morning. Born in Mogadore, Ohio to the late Martin and Cressie (Lawson) Lee. Earl was a 1941 graduate of East Canton High School. He served his country with pride in the Army during WWII where he was awarded a Purple Heart, Silver Star and Combat Infantry badge. He had been employed with Macomber Steel and was a member of First Wesleyan Methodist Church. In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by sisters: Pearl, Lucille, Helen, Sue, Opal and Velma. Brothers: Clifford, Marvin, Paul, Sherwood and Donald. Earl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Myrle Lee. Daughters: Jeanne Jordan of Canton, Nancy Dunbar of Canal Fulton and Rebecca (David) Henry of Canton. Sons: Daniel (Julie) Lee of North Canton and Kenneth Lee and Kim of Massillon. 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A brother Robert Lee also survives. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m.Thursday in First Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Troyer officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Methodist Church 1650 Broad Ave. NW. Canton, Ohio 44708. Please sign the guest book.
