Obituary

Earl Lacy Ivey, age 81, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, March 30, 2006 with his family by his side. He was born on May 18, 1924 in Maxton, North Carolina to the late Andrew and Carrie (Mattox) Ivey. He retired from Canton Castings and had worked for Diamond Portland for 20 years. Earl was a member of the Hartville Wesleyan Methodist Church. He was a man who worked hard all his life and loved his family. Preceded in death by brothers, John, Ben and David; he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Bruce Brenckle of Uniontown, Barbara and Mark Angelo, Betty and Larry Rogers, Mary Beers all of Hartville and Jeff Beers of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Philip Earl and Rhonda Ivey of North Carolina; sisters Margaret (James) Gibson of South Carolina, Sally Tilson, Irene McClean, Sarah Jolivette and Mary McKenzie all of North Carolina; brother Bob D. Ivey of North Carolina; 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday 3-6 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and 1 hour prior to services Monday 10-11 AM in the church. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11 AM in the Wesleyan Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Fair officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
